Jihee Han

Jihee Han is an accomplished and versatile soprano, actively performing across opera, concert, and recital stages. Her operatic roles include Belinda in Dido and Aeneas with LOLA, Pamina in The Magic Flute, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel with the Butler Opera Center, Damigella in L’incoronazione di Poppea, and the Lay Sister in Suor Angelica with the New England Conservatory. In addition to her operatic work, Dr. Han has performed an extensive repertoire of cantatas and oratorios throughout the United States and South Korea. She has enriched her artistry through masterclasses with renowned artists such as Maria Chiara and Jake Heggie, and through participation in esteemed summer programs including the Aspen Music Festival and the International Performing Arts Institute. Her artistry has been recognized in numerous prestigious competitions, with honors from the Sydney Wright Competition, CBS Music Competition, Kyungwon University Competition, Music Journal Competition, and the Koreanisches Institut für Deutsche Kunstlieder.
A passionate educator, Dr. Han taught private voice at Cedar Park High School and served on the voice faculty at Northwest Vista College for the past two years, where she taught Fundamentals of Music, Ear Training & Sight Singing, and Applied Voice. Her students have achieved excellent results in TMEA and UIL competitions and have been accepted into competitive music programs.
Dr. Han holds a Bachelor of Arts from Seoul National University, a Master of Music in Opera Performance from the New England Conservatory, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
Emma Lee

Emma Lee is an Austin native and a UT graduate. As an instrumentalist and a vocalist, Mrs. Lee has spent the last 8 years as a choir director at both Cedar Park Middle School and Vandegrift High School. Since graduating from UT, Mrs. Lee has held a private voice studio during the summers, specializing in audition preparation, musical theatre, and classical art songs. Her passion lies with helping adolescents and adults experience the power and freedom that singing provides, while also understanding a healthy vocal technique. In her spare time, she loves to explore Austin with her husband and their 2-year-old foster daughter and a 1-year-old son.
Kate Winchester

Kate Winchester, soprano, graduated from Westminster Choir College with an M.M. in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy, where she studied with Metropolitan Opera alumna Sharon Sweet. She has been teaching for over 15 years and has lived in Austin since 2018; since then she has sent over a dozen students to All-State, with several more placing at Texoma NATS, and one taking first in the nation in his category at the NATS National Student Auditions. A number of her students have pursued collegiate vocal study in education, performance, and musical theatre, and have been admitted to Oberlin, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Marymount Manhattan, and other high-level schools, as well as Texas schools such as UNT, UT Austin, Texas State, and Trinity.
While at Westminster, she was the soprano soloist for the Symphonic Choir in the annually broadcast Readings and Carols concert. She has been a soloist for ensembles in New Mexico, Florida, and Texas, including Panoramic Voices in Austin, where she premiered several new works. She regularly sings with One Ounce Opera and the Inversion Ensemble in Austin and is on the roster for Austin Cantorum. She presently is a staff singer at St. David’s Episcopal Church in downtown Austin.
Susan McBrayer (Space Limited)

Susan McBrayer, soprano, graduated from Southern Methodist University with an M.M. in Music Education, voice. Many of her students have won entrance to Texas All-State Choir and NJ All-State Choir, as well as All-Eastern Choir. Students have received first-division ratings at UIL Contest and performed full-length classical recitals while in high school.
One of her students, Ali Stroker, received a Tony award for her performance in Oklahoma! on Broadway in 2019. Another student, Morgan Mastrangelo, was a Metropolitan Opera Semi-Finalist in 2020.
